They're a small team so they're not fast at fixing the issues but they do care enough to work on them. They're working on rolling out entirely new servers, they have a new spawn system in the works and they're always trying to improve matchmaking. All three of those G1 has talked about fixing already. The worst issues, I feel, are the servers, the spawn system and matchmaking. Knowing all the intricacies of the weapons, maps and mechanics takes a lot of time since APB is quite different from most shooters but it's well worth it if you feel it might be your type of game. Just yesterday I VS'd a newbie who was trying to main an OBIR which is a great weapon for the 60-80m range but the objectives were CQC and he wasn't positioning himself far enough away to be effective so I killed him very easily since I was outfitted for CQC. I often see STAR users trying to shoot enemies from far outside the STAR's effective range so they're wastign they're time, at best, and, at worst, they're giving away their location ot the enemy, drawing fire and getting killed far easier than they would if they had held their fire and positioned themself appropriately before engaging. Knowing which weapons work in which situations is vital. APB has more of a rock-paper-scissors mechanic. The differences in those weapons are limited to things like accuracy, mag size, semi-auto/full-auto and recoil but little else. In most modern shooters if you can see someone you can damage them pretty well with any weapon aside from a couple special cases like shotguns. Newbies also have a hard time learning the weapons. An enemy pops out at just the right time to take you out completely by surprise so you feel he's walling or aimbotting but the fact is that the objective locations are recycled and maybe that location only has a couple predictable respawn points so experienced player know which directions to watch while newbies feel it's random enough that it shouldn't be prediced. For example, you die, respawn and run toward the objective. The fact is that as open and random as the game may seem at first, there is a lot of predictability within the mechanics that you won't work out until you've sunk a lot of time into it. Mostly because people don't take enough time to learn the game and they make assumptions. The number of hackers is grossly exagerrated, though. I've yet to play a single PvP game that had zero hackers. I don't think a single person ever would suggest that any PvP game is free of hackers. You're not entirely wrong but you do play up the worst aspects a bit too much, IMO. Since you have just 7 hours on record, I'm going to suggest people take your first impressions with a grain of salt. Lots of folks will say this is a flawless game with zero hackers which runs perfectly but that's simply a load of horse****.ĮDIT However, this game is worth at least a try to see how it goes for yourself. And we all know the worst kind of filth, aimbotters who always have you in their sights no matter where you are, do, or go. Others always know where you are and shoot you from rooftoops or around corners consistently and constantly.

You get certain people who kill you in half the time due to latency hacks, not sure exactly how it works, but pretty sure it's done by overloading your net's download while upload retains speed and efficiency therefor registering hits you give more than the ones you take.
APB is also plagued by hackers, which aren't policed at all like in every G1 game. The game is simply terribly optimized, if at all. Even if you do have a monster PC, often you lag even if you are on the "nearest" server. You need way over the minimum to play this game at a decent framerate.
